Our legal agreement and open source licensing

Introduction

The Habits Company is an open source project. By accessing or using this software, you agree to abide by these terms and the applicable open source license. The project is run by Emanuele Faja and Michael Rios.

Software License

This software is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). This means:

  • You are free to use, modify, and distribute the software
  • If you modify the software and provide it to others over a network, you must make your source code available to users
  • Any derivative work must also be licensed under AGPL-3.0
  • There is no warranty for the program, to the extent permitted by applicable law

Course Content License

Course content located in the ui/email/courses directory is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This means:

  • You may share and adapt the course materials
  • You must give appropriate credit to the original creators
  • You may not use the course materials for commercial purposes

Refund Policy

For paid masterclass content, The Habits Company offers refunds under the following conditions:

  • You've watched less than 10% of the course content
  • The request is made within 7 days of purchase

To request a refund, you can visit your settings page and click the "Request Refund" button. Refunds will be processed within 10 business days.

No Warranty

THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. EXCEPT WHEN OTHERWISE STATED IN WRITING THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR OTHER PARTIES PROVIDE THE PROGRAM "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Network Use

If you modify the Program and offer interaction with it remotely through a computer network, you must make the Corresponding Source code available to users. This is a key provision of the AGPL-3.0 license.

Contributions to this project are welcome. By contributing, you agree that your contributions will be licensed under the project's license (AGPL-3.0 for code, CC BY-NC 4.0 for course content where applicable).

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time as the project evolves. Material changes will be documented in the project's repository.
